Imaging: Human & Mouse

About Imaging: Human & Mouse

Imaging is a core component of NCARD’s research. Advances in medical imaging have greatly enhanced our ability to detect and monitor cancers. The continued development of imaging techniques is essential to screen and observe mesothelioma patients. In addition, our research with mouse models would not be possible without the imaging facilities available to our researchers.

NCARD is committed to improving asbestos-related disease diagnosis and treatment management, of which imaging is a vital tool. We work closely with theĀ West Australian Node of the National Imaging Facility, which allows us access to advanced imaging technology and expertise in the field.

Our current interests include theranostics, PET imaging and artificial intelligence for cancer screening.
