Tracy graduated with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Western Australia. She continued her studies with a PhD in brain tumour research at Telethon Kids Institute (Western Australia), where she used pre-clinical models of glioblastoma to investigate the effects of combining conventional cancer therapies with cell cycle checkpoint inhibitors. She joined NCARD as a Research Assistant in April 2021, analysing patient samples from mesothelioma clinical trials. She progressed to Postdoctoral Research Scientist after the completion of her PhD, where she coordinates the pre-clinical Positron Emission Tomography (PET imaging) project to track and understand the influence cancer biomarkers, i.e. PD-L1, have on mesothelioma treatment response.
