Dr Melvin Chin is a medical oncologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and the inaugural recipient of the Asbestos Disease Society of Australia’s (ADSA’s) PhD Mesothelioma Medical Research scholarship. His research focuses on using machine learning to predict mesothelioma responses to chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment.

He recently spoke to ADSA about his desire to improve outcomes and treatment for mesothelioma patients, and how the fellowship has enabled his research into mesothelioma.
