The 2022 NCARD public seminar “Report, Record, Research” will be held on October 20.
We have three speakers for the night to discuss the latest news and research on asbestos-related disease. First will be Narelle Towie, head of journalism at Murdoch University who has written extensively about asbestos contamination in Wittenoom. Our second speaker is Professor Fraser Brims, chair of the WA Mesothelioma Registry and Deputy Director of the Institute of Respiratory Health, who has clinical and research interests in asbestos-related diseases. Last is Dr Melvin Chin of NCARD, whose research currently involves machine learning approaches to predict mesothelioma responses to treatment.
You can join either in-person or online via Microsoft Teams.
Registration has now closed. Read about the seminar and find a link to the recording in this news item.
